The History Behind MPB
The business began in 2005 with three of the family as directors and the first yard was in Staffordshire – located centrally to give a nationwide reach. As the company grew, we initially rented extra depot space until we were able to purchase our own land in 2021, creating a platform for greater growth.
From our headquarters, we have good transportation links which allow us to operate throughout the entirety of the UK – from the tip of the Scottish Highlands to Land’s End in Cornwall. We have worked hard over the last couple of decades to build a reputation for trustworthiness and excellent customer service as well as our high-quality products. We are excited to see how the business continues to grow and develop in the future.
July 2005
The business began with Nigel, Liz and Chris as Directors from our first year in Brocton, Staffordshire.
August 2005
Our first modular classroom installation is completed.
July 2014
Needing more space we rented an additional one-acre depot in Hixon, Staffordshire.
October 2015
Matt became the Sales Director.
September 2018
All six family members are now in the ‘family’ business with the addition of Catherine.
September 2019
The largest modular classroom to date is installed at Whitgreave School, Wolverhampton.
July 2021
With a greater need for space, we made our first land purchase: two acres of land in Hixon.
